IT Account Manager Permanent
We are currently recruiting an IT Account Manager to join a large Managed Service Provider based in Dorset.
The IT Account Manager is responsible for managing a set of allocated small and medium business customers, maintaining a long term relationship and being accountable for the outcomes achieved within the allocated customer base. To drive activity in order to both maximise the return from the existing business and obtain new business within the customer base.
Main duties:
-Proactively manage a portfolio of accounts
-Achieve set sales targets
-Complete pro-active activities in line with measures outlined within set KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
-Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
-Deliver sales presentations to customers
-Be responsible for driving and attending client meetings
-Ensure that you maintain and expand relationships with existing clients
-Complete customer quotes and proposals
-Record, analyse, report and administer according to systems and requirements
-Respond to customer requests in a timely fashion
-Complete administrative work as required
-Determine what customers business requirements are and make recommendations for solutions to meet those needs
-Articulate solutions and services in both technical and commercial terms
-Answer any technical questions the client might have
-Engage with technical teams to initiate project and or service delivery
-Use the in-house CRM system and other business systems and update relevant information held in these systems
-Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
-Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment
-Any other duties that are commensurate with your role
Skills and Experience
-Previous experience in Account Management or Sales and display an attitude that is key to success
-Strong account management and relationship building skills
-Good written ability to be able to write emails and proposals
-Experienced user of Office packages
-Experience of administrative duties, with a good range of relevant skill
-Sound interpersonal & communication skills
