About the Role:
This is an exciting and varied hands on role providing IT support to the business with a mix of on-site and remote/desk-based work; providing first-class customer service and support to internal customers with technical issues, diagnosing problems, installing upgrades, software applications and client hardware; as well as performing initial triage and support of key network services, escalating to 3^rd parties where required.

You will also assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of new IT services and methods of working for the organisation.

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for incidents and requests, resolving or escalating to team members and 3^rd parties
• Working from one of our sites or remotely either from the office or WFH to support a PC and thin client environment, including, user management, troubleshooting of Windows OS installation/configuration, patching, application install/upgrade, network printers, shares and file permissions
• Provide line of business application support, guidance and developing best practices for Office 365 applications and other 3^rd party applications
• Server administration and maintenance, including Active Directory administration, account management, group policy management and configuration and OS patching
• Involvement in project and non-BAU work as directed by the IT Manager
• Building good relationships with internal customers and suppliers
• Travel to various sites located on the South Coast and London with overnight stays as required
• Providing out of hours IT support as per agreed rota covering evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Essential Technical Skillset and experience requirements

• Demonstrable recent and relevant IT support experience
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Active Directory and Group Policy implementation, configuration and maintenance
• Office 365, Azure AD, Azure Endpoint Manger (Intune)
• PowerShell
• Support of Windows Server (2012R2 – 2019) and Windows 10
• Office 365 Installation, Implementation and Administration
• Experience supporting both off the shelf and bespoke line of business applications
• Liaison with third party vendors and suppliers
• Full driving license & own car including business insurance cover

Desirable

• Experience of supporting a multi-site environment from a central IT function
• Experience supporting Android, Apple MacOS and iOS devices
• Familiarity with support of a Thin Client environment
• Working knowledge of PCI DSS and GDPR concepts
• Experience of mobile device management tools, e.g. MaaS360

• Network Configuration & Management – DNS/DHCP/TCP/IP/WAN/LAN/VLAN, Security – Firewall Configuration (Fortigate), Routers/Switches/Access Points (Cisco)

• Telephony systems management – VOIP and SIP trunks (Cisco CUCM experience beneficial)
• Experience in project delivery
• Use and management of backup tools
• Use and management of anti-virus tools
