Role of IT Support Engineer:
As an IT Support Engineer you’ll act as a single point of contract for all of our IT users, taking ownership of reported issues until they are resolved, this could be via telephone, email, portal or face to face. You’ll work to ensure that support is given in a timely, positive and effective way.
You’ll ensure that all contacts with our Users are appropriately logged, prioritised and categorised and will liaise with 3rd party suppliers; raising incidents/requests, monitoring progress and escalating issues where required. Using your knowledge, experience and diagnostic skills you will deliver a high first-time fix rate for reported Incidents.
You’ll continually improve the services provided by the IT team; documenting self-help articles and service desk fixes, raising problem records and suggesting improvement initiatives as well as ad-hoc tasks to support the IT function
You’ll need excellent communication skills, with strong problem-solving abilities and a clear focus on displaying high customer service and satisfaction. You’ll work equally well independently as well as within a team with strong time management skills.
Skills Required for the role of IT Support Engineer:
You’ll need a least a years experience within an IT support role, with experience of Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 2013.
Ideally you’ll have experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange, some knowledge of infrastructure and networks would also be beneficial
