The purpose of the Junior Build Engineer:

We are urgently looking for a Junior Build Engineer to build, configure and maintain software, hardware and networks.

This is an ENTRY LEVEL ROLE, an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or student/College Leaver looking to quickly start their careers in IT, joining one of the UK’s leading MSPs, and being part of a fast-paced environment that offers great benefits & career development opportunities.

Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

Skills Required:

• Build, administer and maintain systems support for software, hardware and servers: test, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve all problems.
• Configure, monitor and maintain updated virus protection software, and backup data for emergency recovery.
• Installing and configuring software, hardware and networks
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
• Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
• Manage network servers and technology tools.
• Set up accounts and workstations.
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
• Troubleshoot issues and outages.
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models

Experience:

• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
•  Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication skills
