Role: Mortgage Support Adviser
Salary: £24,000 – £26,000
Type: Permanent, full-time
Key Responsibilities of the Mortgage Support Adviser:
Your challenge will be to help us ensure the best customer outcomes and maximise income via the sales and promotion of our mortgage and protection proposition to advisers within the client’s group of companies. Day-to-day, you’ll provide vital assistance and advice that will enable advisers to accurately place mortgage and protection cases. One minute you might be answering an incoming call from an adviser, the next liaising with a provider to resolve an issue. We’ll also rely on you to help maintain our databases of lender and provider criteria and carry out ad hoc research to help with specific queries. Reviewing and maintaining the criteria documentation stored on our Extranet will be important too, as will encouraging advisers to use it to solve basic queries. And, when it comes to liaising with Marketing about news items that need publishing to keep advisers up-to-date with lender key announcements, again, we’ll count on you.
Key Skills and Experience Mortgage Support Adviser:
Our client’s advisers focus is on giving their clients the right advice and solutions across all markets, from pension and investment advice to mortgage planning, protection and insurance. Accordingly, you’ll need to be CeMAP qualified and have extensive knowledge of the lending and protection markets in terms of criteria and products and of Financial Services regulations and the Mortgage Market review. Exposure to IFA, Multi tie and Restricted environments would be useful, although provider experience will be considered. Ideally you will have working knowledge of a mortgage sourcing system. Self-motivated and keen to learn and progress, you’re happy to work on your own initiative. What’s more, you have a telephone manner that exudes credibility, professionalism and personal integrity, work well under pressure and love analysing and solving problems
